Shannon R. McCarter is a family nurse practitioner and joined the Allergy & Asthma Specialists in May of 2021. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011 and Master of Science in Nursing in 2019, both at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, IN. She is nationally certified with and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Having been born and raised in Lake County, Shannon is very familiar with the area and has spent her entire career serving its people. In her leisure time, Shannon enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. She lives in nearby Griffith, IN, with her husband and son.
